Unlocking secrets across Iki Island in Ghost of Tsushima leads players to obscure challenges and hidden achievements. Among these challenges, the hidden Monkey See trophy requires players to embody the classic wisdom of three mystical primates scattered along a treacherous mountain ascent. Understanding how to find each statue and perform the correct action is essential for completing this unwritten adventure.
Finding Saruiwa Mountain Location
To begin this unique quest, travel to the far southwestern tip of Iki Island to locate Saruiwa Mountain. Look for a path at the base of the mountain framed by two large stone monkey statues marking the climbing trail. Navigating this area carefully reveals several off-path ledges holding the hidden idols needed for the challenge.
Interacting with the Three Monkey Statues
The first statue represents Hear No Evil and sits on an upper ledge reachable via a grappling hook point to the left before the first wall gap. Stand near this monkey covering its ears and play your flute to trigger a special cutscene. The second statue represents See No Evil and is hidden down a crumbling cliffside path near a stone archway. Throwing a smoke bomb near this blindfolded statue completes the second step.
Completing the Final Idol and Monkey Sanctuary
The third statue represents Speak No Evil, located at the bottom of a pool of water reached by swinging from a hook point after crossing a bamboo bridge. Stand on the shore near the monkey covering its mouth and perform a respectful bow. Afterward, climb back up to reach the summit of Saruiwa Mountain to complete the local Monkey Sanctuary by playing your flute on the central stone tile. Finishing all three statue interactions and the sanctuary successfully unlocks the Monkey See trophy.
