Finding the Mural Cave and Church Key Location

After defeating Del Lago and gaining access to the boat, navigate toward the Mural Cave located on the southern side of the lake. Inside this cave, players will discover an altar holding the Church Insignia, which serves as the physical key to the church. The item is locked between two large stone hands that require specific key items to release.

To unlock the altar, Leon must retrieve the Apostate's Head and the Blasphemer's Head from two nearby cave shrines. Inspecting the wall art near the altar updates your map with the precise locations of both shrine puzzles.

Solving the Large Cave Shrine Symbol Puzzle

The Large Cave Shrine is situated in the northeastern area of the lake and contains the Apostate's Head. Upon arrival, search the cavern walls and stone pillars to spot distinct yellow symbols painted in the environment. Align your view near specific columns and ladders to decipher the full shapes correctly.

Head to the pedestal console near the locked door and press the matching three symbols. The correct combination includes the top-right, bottom, and top-left buttons. Once activated, the door opens, allowing you to collect the Apostate's Head.

Solving the Small Cave Shrine Symbol Puzzle

Travel to the Small Cave Shrine located in the southeastern region of the lake to obtain the Blasphemer's Head. Similar to the previous shrine, yellow symbols are scattered around the wooden structures and cave walls. Some markings require climbing ladders or viewing them from specific angles to form the complete pattern.

Interact with the pedestal mechanism at the base of the shrine to input the code. Press the bottom-left, left, and bottom-right symbols to unlock the chamber door. Grab the Blasphemer's Head and prepare to return to the Mural Cave altar.

Unlocking the Church Gate with the Church Insignia

Return to the Mural Cave with both heads and place them onto the designated stone hands at the altar. This action unlocks the mechanism, granting you the Church Insignia key. With the insignia in hand, navigate your way back to the church entrance in the village area.

Insert the Church Insignia into the round slot on the main front gate to unlock the door. Once inside, players can solve the stained-glass window puzzle to continue their mission and locate Ashley on the upper floor.
